Other ways to contribute to STRIDE

STRIDE Adaptive Sports utilizes the creative talents of our volunteers in many different ways.  Not only do we need volunteers to work in our sports and recreational activities, STRIDE needs volunteers to assist with fundraising, provide entertainment, serve as board and advisory board members, and function in a host of other capacities.

STRIDE would not be where it is today if it were not for the volunteers who contribute so much of themselves.  The benefit to you is the reward of knowing that you have illuminated the path to achievement for someone who may have challenges and aided in their steps to a brighter future.  We hope you can find it within yourself to give some of your time, love, and energy and become a member of our team.

Virtual volunteering
If you have computer access and the necessary skills, STRIDE now offers the opportunity to do volunteer work over the computer. This may take the form of giving free legal advice, writing articles for the newsletter, graphic work, writing letters, or taking reservations. This sort of volunteering might be well suited to you if you have limited time, no transportation, or a physical disability that precludes you from getting about freely. Virtual volunteering can also be a way for you to give time if you simply enjoy computers and want to employ your computer skills in your volunteer work.

Give voice to your heart through your giving and volunteering!
Bring your heart and your sense of humor to your volunteer service, along with your enthusiastic spirit, which in itself is a priceless gift. What you'll get back will be immeasurable!
